2. HOW TO USE AND CONFIGURE
This section will show you how to configure Rootways Product FAQs Extension. It’s very easy and fast!
2.1 General Settings:
To Manage Products FAQ Extension from Configuration Settings, Do as follows.
Log in to Admin Panel and then click System -> Configuration -> Rootways (Left sidebar) -> Products FAQ. Or you can click on Products FAQ -> Configuration from the navigation pane.Below is the Screen shot of Free gift item Settings and also the detailed description of each setting.
- Enable: Enable/Disable Products FAQ extension using this setting.
- Domain Mode: Choose Live or Development mode.
- Domain: If Live Mode is selected, then enter live domain URL that was entered at the time of purchase of the extension or if you’ve selected Development Mode then enter development domain URL that you entered for the purchase of the extension.
- License key: Enter License key that was sent to you by Rootways shop via email.
2.2 Products FAQ Management:
This section will show you how to add Product FAQ from Magento Admin Panel.
Go to Admin -> Products FAQ -> Manage Products FAQ.
To add Products FAQ:
– Click on ‘Add Question’. You will be directed to its General settings.
– Now Enter the Question and Answer for any product.
– The Answer text box provides customization of Text by allowing HTML tags.
– Also set the ‘Sort order’ of the FAQ in Sort Order parameter.
– You can set the status of the question by selecting ‘Enabled’ or ‘Disabled’ from Status parameter.
– To add the Q&A to any products, click on ‘Sharing Products’ under General settings from left sidebar.
– Now enter the SKU for the product you want this Q&A to be displayed. Click the checkbox of the product name. You can select multiple products too.
– To add the same Q&A to multiple categories, simply click on ‘Sharing Categories’ from Left sidebar.
– Now select all the Categories that you want this Q&A to be displayed.
After filling all required information for Products FAQ parameters click on ‘Save’ or ‘Save And Continue Edit’. Now check the front-end of your website, reload it and you’ll be able to see the FAQ in the product details page that you selected from admin. These FAQs are shown in a very user-friendly pull out manner. Which also saves the space and allows more FAQ to be added.
After successfully installing and setting the parameters for the Products FAQ extension and also after reloading the front-end of your website you’ll be able to view FAQs for products.
For any query regarding product details, users can simply click on the Question and the Answer will be displayed as per the the format you have added from admin panel. To stop seeing the answer click on the question again and the answer will be slid up.
